UEFA Champions League: Worry for Real Madrid as Hazard down with injury.
The first league match between Real Madrid and Barcelona on December 18 in Catalonia could take place without the Belgian international who was hurt while trying to escape the marking of his compatriot from Paris SG, Thomas Meunier. His ankle seemed to twist too tightly.

Real Madrid striker Eden Hazard was forced to give up his place on the hour against PSG on Tuesday in Champions League, apparently suffering from a right ankle injury that cast a shadow over his participation in Clasico in three weeks.

The blow is hard for Real Madrid and Hazard. The Belgian international has come out injured against PSG in the Champions League, while he made a first reference match under the jersey merengue. Very active and tonic, the former player of Chelsea was at the origin of the opening score of Karim Benzema (17th).

The first league match between Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga on December 18 in Catalonia could take place without the Belgian international. Hazard hurt himself while trying to escape the marking of his compatriot Thomas Meunier, with whom he delivered a hell of a duel. His ankle seemed to twist too tightly.

Hazard was treated on the edge of the lawn, then, grimacing, he signaled that he could not continue and returned to his bench while walking. Welshman Gareth Bale replaced him while Real led 1-0 at home (2-2 final score).

"It's more than just a shot but I hope that the twist of the ankle is minor ... But now, I can not tell you," reacted Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane after the game.

The first echoes from Spain are rather reassuring for the Belgian international. The exams performed in the evening would not have revealed a bone lesion according to the newspaper As.

Real Madrid conceded the draw against PSG at Santiago Bernabeu (2-2). With Neymar on the bench but Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria on the field for Paris SG, Thomas Tuchel's men could not get the better of the Merengue outfit.

Thanks in particular to a great Keylor Navas, PSG brings back a point from this trip to Santiago Bernabeu and will finish in the first place of their group in the Champions League ahead of Real Madrid.
